Did I hear weathermen say frost will come?
Frost? We have hardly seen a yellow leaf.
Excuse me, but I hold as firm belief
that autumn should come first before we strum
the strings of winter. Frost, indeed. So please,
you newsmen, you are not the weather gods.
Predict with sense. What are the crazy odds
that frost would come and make our autumn freeze?
To greet another
morning, relish in the trees….
a gift sublime
So much is written, spoken of the prince
of Cambridge. Celebrating Royal Birth,
we cheer in never-ending joy and mirth
at this child, one day old, with only hints
of all he will become. And so we write
our stories too, yes, all that crowns. We tell
the heights, the depths, the heaven and the hell,
but know we must endure a certain night.
Sun beats with fury
parching the land, oppressing
all who dare go out.
heated and humid
miserable and threatening
threatening and miserable
humid and heated
The oppressive air
hovering outside the door
choking flow of breath
