To Write (Often) Or Not to Write (Often)

The Chronicler is wondering whether she’s in a rut. I try to write every day on my blog{s}, including poetry. But I’m asking myself: Am I just throwing words down on the page, or does what I write have written worth?

I know it’s imperative for a writer to write everything day, to flex those muscles, keep in practice. At the same time, I don’t want to be locked into “having to” write every day simply because I have two blogs.

There seems to be a fine line between writing regularly and writing well. I try to make everything I write quality, but I am wondering whether too much writing makes my messages trite, repetitive, or unimportant.

Any thoughts on this?

  2. I know “they” say to write every day, but I don’t. Don’t put pressure on yourself. Taking a break can re-energize the writing muse. You should enjoy it, not have it be a chore. Give yourself a break. :-)
